The Florida Whig Party

Jeremy McShurley, who served as the Chairman until January 2009, founded the Florida Whig Party in 2006; the Truesdell Administration has guided the Party since. The Florida Whig Party Executive Board consists of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer. Various individuals will assist the Board from time-to-time with short and long-term projects such as public relations, conventions, candidate recruitment, research, and more.

The Florida Whig Party is a bottom-up political party with a flat organizational structure.

REGISTER TO VOTE AS A FLORIDA WHIG

Each registered voter who has selected the Florida Whig Party (FWP) on their Florida Voter Registration Application (line 12) is a member of the Party.

1. Click HERE to open the PDF Florida Voter Registration Application.

2. Complete the editable PDF.

3. Make sure to select minor party on line 12 and Florida Whig Party (FWP) is clearly printed.

4. Print the Voter Registration Application.

5. Sign the Voter Registration Application.

6. Follow the submission instructions on page two of the Voter Registration Application.

FLORIDA WHIG PARTY DELEGATE

A registered voter may become a Delegate:

1. Click on and open the PDF Delegate Membership Form.

2. Complete the editable PDF Delegate Membership Form.

3. Print the PDF Delegate Membership Form.

4. Write a check made payable to the Florida Whig Party for $30.00; the dues for a Student Delegate is $15.00.

5. Place the Delegate Membership Form and check in an envelope, attach sufficient postage, and mail.

6. Address the envelope to:

You may also become a delegate by completing the Online Delegate Form.

1. Click on the red button on the right side of all screens titled: Join the FWP.

2. Complete the Online Delegate Form.

3. Click on the button titled: Submit Form.

4. Your computer screen will be directed to the Donation Page of the Florida Whig Party.

5. Click on the button titled: Make a Donation.

6. Select Delegate or Student Delegate as your membership status.

7. Click Other if you would like to Donate a different amount and then enter that amount in the box.

8. If you would like to make a monthly Donation, select Please charge my credit card every month.

9. Select Continue with Donation.

10. Complete the Online Form.

11. Select Confirm Donation.

12. The information you entered on the prior page will appear on the next page.

13. Review the information for accuracy.

14. Enter your credit card information.

15. Select Process Donation Now to complete the donation.

Florida Whig Party Delegates will receive by U.S. Mail:

1. A personalized membership identification card.

2. 25 business cards.

3. 10 door hangers.

4. An order form for various Whig merchandise such as yard signs, polo and t-shirts, lapel pins, and bumper stickers.

All Delegates can attend quarterly online meetings and participate in policy and issue development.

FLORIDA WHIG PARTY COALITION LEADER

To become a Florida Whig Party Coalition Leader:

1. Become a registered voter with the Florida Whig Party as your Party of Affiliation.

2. Become a Florida Whig Party Delegate.

3. Recruit two additional Florida Whig Party Delegates.

4. Notify the Florida Whig Party of your desire to become a Coalition Leader by way of the Florida Whig Party Contact Form.

Upon receipt of your request, the Florida Whig Party will contact you and send you a password to the online Coalition Leader Page. The Coalition Leader Page has audios, videos, and multiple PDFs to guide you through the process of starting, building, and seeding a Coalition.

Coalitions are the heart and soul of the Florida Whig Party and Coalition Leaders are the ministers of their political flocks.
